What to choose to perfume your home:
Home fragrance is an excellent way to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere in your home. It can also help mask unpleasant odors and purify the air.
There are many different products on the market, so it can be difficult to know where to start.
There are a number of possibilities for perfuming your home in the most beautiful way:
Scented candles
Scented candles are a popular way to perfume your home. They diffuse a pleasant scent and create a subdued, relaxing atmosphere. However, they also have a few drawbacks.
The + | Scented candles diffuse a pleasant scent throughout your home. They can help you create a relaxing or stimulating atmosphere, depending on your needs. They are also an elegant decorative element. They can add a touch of style to your home. Scented candles are an ideal gift. They’re appreciated by everyone, whatever their age or personality.
The – | Scented candles are a fire hazard. It’s important to place them on a stable, non-flammable surface, and to keep a close eye on them when they’re lit. Some candles can release fine particles into the air. These particles can be harmful to health, especially for people with respiratory problems, so choose your brand of scented candle carefully and avoid foreign-poured candles with less stringent, less controlled marketing regulations.

Rose et Marius candles are made of fine Limoges porcelain, and gradually become translucent once lit… Cast by our Master Cirier in Grasse, they diffuse an intense, refined fragrance from the Haute Parfumerie.
Here are a few tips on how to use your Rose et Marius candle:
1/ Light your scented candle for at least 20 minutes to allow its fragrant scents to exhale. We don’t recommend diffusing the fragrance for longer than 3 hours, as the scent will saturate the air and lose its effect.
2/ You need to take care of your wick, regularly trimming it to about 0.5cm so that the candle doesn’t blacken. Our candles are made of cotton wick (the best natural material for wicks), so if they aren’t cut regularly, they risk darkening.
3/ It’s best to extinguish your candle without blowing out the flame, as this can create soot that stains the edges of the candle black. We recommend using your Rose et Marius snuffer.
4/ Over 10 years ago, we invented a unique candle refill concept to avoid waste and encourage reuse.
Once you’ve finished your Rose et Marius scented candle, remove the wick from the metal disc. Then refill it over and over again with one of our 27 scented candle refills.
Capillary fragrance diffusers
Capillary fragrance diffusers (often called capilla) are a type of fragrance diffuser. They diffuse the fragrance by absorbing the scented liquid into rattan or bamboo sticks, or, at Rose et Marius, felt sticks. The principle: every time there’s a breeze or air movement (when you’re moving around, for example), the fragrance diffuses from the sticks.
The + | Capillary fragrance diffusers are simple to use. Simply place the sticks in the bottle of scented liquid and let the fragrance diffuse. They are relatively economical and, depending on the brand, have a long service life. Perfume diffusers are also effective for diffusing fragrance in large rooms, if you opt for large diffusers with long stems.
The – | Capillary fragrance diffusers have limited power, which can limit fragrance diffusion in very large rooms. Likewise, fragrance concentration may be limited, making the scent less perceptible. Note that most brands on the market use alcohol, which is harmful and has the disadvantage of staling and lasting only a few weeks.

Our oil-based home fragrance diffusers are very different from the perfume diffusers on the market. They’re exceptional. We’ll tell you why!

They have a long diffusion time of 3 months to 1 year, depending on the size of the room (because they are alcohol-free and oil-based, they don’t stale).
-They have an exceptional concentration of 20% pure fragrance, which gives them very good diffusion (as opposed to the usual 7%, due to the high cost of perfume from the fine fragrance industry).

Room sprays
Home sprays are a type of air freshener that dispenses fragrance in the form of micro-droplets. Presented in a push-button bottle, they are an effective alternative for destroying odors and perfuming your home.
The + | Interior sprays are easy to use. Simply spray a few pschitts into the room to perfume the air. They also disperse quickly, which is ideal for refreshing a room quickly or perfuming your home quickly, to welcome guests for example.
The – | The lifespan of an indoor spray is limited, as the fragrance evaporates quickly. What’s more, the micro-droplets fall off (unlike capillary diffusers, where the fragrance rises).
It’s also important to spray at a safe distance from objects and people, and to avoid animals.
Perfuming your home has become an inescapable gesture, a veritable addiction for some as it enhances your sense of well-being. With an alcohol base, you can perfume your curtains, sofa, carpet, pillow… without the risk of staining them.
You’ll need to hold the bottle up to the ceiling, or spray onto fabrics (be sure to stand about 30 cm away). Being alcohol-based, there’s no risk of staining. With an exceptional concentration of 20% fragrance, it’s highly effective for enveloping the atmosphere with your favorite scent in just a few gestures, welcoming your guests with a fragrant note unique to your image.

Our commitment to ecology does not respond to fashion trends. It’s deeply rooted in our DNA.
That’s why we were the first to design the Rose et Marius collections so that most are refillable (candles, liquid soaps…).
The aim is to reuse containers and limit the use of plastic.
Your diffuser isn’t at the end of its life when it’s empty. You can use a wide variety of refills, so your diffuser can be used again and again.
When there’s no fragrance left in the bottle, you have two options:
- Want to keep the same fragrance?
Simply refill your home fragrance bottle with the liquid from your new refill.
- Would you like to discover a new fragrance?
Simply clean the bottle with a little 90°C alcohol, empty the alcohol into your sink and allow the inside of the bottle to dry thoroughly. Then fill your home fragrance bottle with the liquid from your new refill.
In just a few minutes, your diffuser will be ready for use again. With the purchase of your fragrance diffuser refill, we’ll supply you with a set of 7 new sticks.
These refills let you renew the fragrances in your home as often as you like. They’re a simple, economical and environmentally-friendly way to create the right atmosphere in your home.
