  1. Fontaine de la Rotonde<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Located at the entrance to the famous Cours Mirabeau, the Fontaine de la Rotonde is undoubtedly the most famous fountain in Aix-en-Provence. Erected in 1860, it stands majestically with its three statues representing Justice, Agriculture and Fine Arts, symbols of the city’s identity and cultural wealth. Its large pool and fountains offer a refreshing sight, especially on hot summer days.<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Fontaine des Quatre Dauphins<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Nestled in the Mazarin district, the Fontaine des Quatre Dauphins is an 18th-century Baroque masterpiece. Created in 1667 by Jean-Claude Rambot, it features four sculpted dolphins that seem to escape from the waves. This district, with its narrow streets and private mansions, offers an enchanting setting for this harmonious, poetic fountain.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Also on the Cours Mirabeau, the Fontaine du Roi Ren\u00e9 pays tribute to one of the most important figures in the history of Aix-en-Provence. King of Naples and Sicily in the 15th century, Ren\u00e9 d’Anjou is often credited with bringing cultural wealth to the region. The statue depicts him holding a bunch of muscat grapes, a reminder of his love for viticulture and gastronomy.<\/span><\/p>\n
